a little retouching
I hear this question a lot and this is my answer:
I generally do some adjustments with brightness, contrast and, possibly, color temperature, (if I want to make an image warmer or cooler in tone.) In certain situations, I may also need to change some subtle parts in the image, (getting rid of distracting flaws in the photo, extending a surface or background that wasn't large enough, etc.)
See for yourself.

wrapt
For the last several months, I have doing some product photography for an online startup called Wrapt.
The concept behind Wrapt is very cool. The site is designed to help you the find perfect gift for any woman in your life. By answering a series of very specific questions about the person you are shopping for, the site will present you with a selection of choices that are tailored to her tastes and hobbies.
Here's a little preview of some of the cool items you may see...

super bowl party food
Since the Super Bowl is nearly upon us, I thought I would share some images I shot for the National Co-op Grocers Association a little while back; healthier options for a Super Bowl party!
As a regular shopper at PCC here in Seattle, I am a huge supporter of the food co-ops around the country and a big fan of having healthy (but tasty) food options for any occasion.

nichirei
Nichirei, another one of my new clients from last year, sells frozen food products that I can only describe as Japanese comfort food: grilled rice balls, veggie tempura fritters, green tea pancakes and calamari karaage alongside more "American" items like potato croquettes and waffle sticks.
Here are a couple of my favorite shots from the work we have done together.

farestart
Shooting for FareStart was one of my highlights from 2015.
If you aren't familiar with this organization, you should be. FareStart works with adults who are trying to turn their lives around after hardship. They provide job training in the restaurant industry, help with housing and transportation, resume building and computer skills, interview coaching and assistance in looking for a job...all free of charge.
Additionally, FareStart serves lunch daily and holds monthly chef dinners, is available for catering and events at their two locations and prepares and delivers over 3000 lunches DAILY to Seattle area schools and social service programs. To say they are inspiring is an understatement, and I was honored to help document all the good work they do.
