I worked with the lovely Nicole and Mark on June 23rd at Court in the Square, a fantastic location in Pioneer Square.
Pioneer Square area is one of my very favorite places to take photos in the city. The old buildings, cobblestone and brick make for fantastic backgrounds.
The bride and groom were so sweet and gracious, and Nicole looked gorgeous.
I love her red hair!!!

I love Larkspur Farm!!
This past Saturday, I got to work at one of my all time favorite wedding venues; Larkspur Farm, in the gorgeous Skagit Valley.
Larkspur is one of those magical places where something new and beautiful lies around every corner. The owner, Jan Johnson, has attended to every detail; every inch of these grounds is lovely, and nothing has been overlooked. Intimate and quaint indoor spaces, flowers in every color, a fantastic patio...even the exterior of the restrooms is cute! Working here is a photographers' dream...there are just too many photo opps to count!
My clients, Katherine and James, not only chose the perfect location for their quaint garden wedding, they also hired the AMAZING Ciao Thyme for their catering. Let me just say, WOW.
Baby lamp chops, roasted baby beet salad with hazelnut and shallot cider vinaigrette, and grilled asparagus and summer squash are just a few of the sumptuous items that were served. Those folks do fantastic work. Every single dish was prepared with organic ingredients and each was so fresh, flavorful, and delicious.
One of my very favorite florists, Christiane Zweifler from Flora Nova, put together stunning arrangements in shades of green, yellow and peach, and the very sweet Wendi from Ethereal
Events coordinated the whole event. This wedding was lovely from start to finish!

My photo is on a book!!
For the last few years, my fine art photography has been represented by Corbis, which is one of the largest stock photography agencies in the world.
Basically, clients who are looking for a photo (for a brochure, a poster, greeting card, billboard, calendar...WHATEVER) search the enormous library of images that Corbis has, and then they buy the rights to use a photograph for a specific amount of time.
For example, one of my images was just purchased for a book cover, which was pretty exciting!!
Check it out...

Meridian
One of the things I love about my job is staying in touch with my clients and seeing how their lives change and their families grow.
A year ago, I photographed the wedding of Erik and RinaMarie at the Golden Gardens Bathhouse on Shilshole Bay. Rina and Erik were so sweet and fun, I loved working with them.
Now they have a beautiful daughter named Meridian and I got to photograph her a week ago as a surprise anniversary gift from Erik to his wife.
Here are a few favorites:
(Meridian was fascinated with my camera and kept trying to grab it throughout the shoot.)

Heather and Chris, 5/27/07
How did YOU spend your Memorial Day weekend? I got to spend the holiday in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, documenting the wedding and related events for an AMAZING couple.
The bride, Heather, found me on the WPJA during her search for a wedding photographer. She and I spoke on the phone a number of times but we never met in person until the night before her wedding. I was thrilled to discover that she and her husband-to-be, Chris, were sweeter and more gracious than I could have ever imagined.
Heather and Chris' wedding took place on the beach, across the street from Villa Celeste, a gorgeous vacation rental they had taken over for their stay in Puerto Vallarta. Kristin and Michelle from The Dazzling Details did a fabulous job coordinating the event and decorating the villa for the reception. The guests enjoyed a great dinner at sunset followed by dancing late into the night.
With fabulous clients and a stunning setting, this was TRULY a dream job.
