Thought I'd post some photos from a fun engagement session shot recently at the UW. Katie and Andy (and their adorable dog) were great to work with. I look forward to shooting their wedding next year at The Cutting Garden!!

Theresa and Alec
Have you noticed the wacky weather this summer??? If you spend a lot of time photographing weddings like I do, then it's been hard to ignore. We've had rain, rain, and more rain, and it always seems to fall just in time for the weekend.
Theresa and Alec were one of the many couples this summer whose outdoor ceremony at Fair Harbor Marina occurred right at the beginning of a surprise downpour. But instead of letting the weather ruin their day or stress them out or cause some unnecessary drama and crazy bridezilla moments, this couple just....laughed. When the first raindrop hit, (just as the processional started....of course), they looked up, shrugged, smiled a little apologetically to their wet guests, and proceeded to enjoy the rest of the ceremony. And while rain is usually the one thing that we photographers tend to run from, I excitedly clicked away throughout the crazy weather and kept thinking about how AWESOME the photos were going to be.
Theresa and Alec rocked my world. I loved their humor, their sassiness, their style and, above all, their ability to remember what counts when things don't go as planned.
Their rain drenched day has turned into one of my favorites this year.
Thanks, you guys. You are the best.
