Jennifer and Scott got married at the fabulous Sanctuary, (which is conveniently located in my West Seattle neighborhood), on another sorta-rain-free day this fall.
Jenn and Scott decided to hire a photographer for only their bride and groom shots, as well as their family photos, so I wasn't present for their ceremony or reception. However, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them for the couple hours we were together. They are the SWEETEST.
On another note, I thought I'd use this blog post to formally thank my husband/assistant, Joe, for all his help during my wedding season. As shown in the first photo, Joe is a true pro when it comes to pinning on boutonnieres. He is also quite a champ when I ask him to throw things at my clients for the sake of a better photo, as shown in the "blowing leaves" photo.
These things don't just happen, people.
Thanks, Joe for being such a sport.
And thank you, Jennifer and Scott, for being absolutely lovely.

Oh, Clare! These pictures are beyond beautiful! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us pictures that we'll treasure forever. After all was said and done, Scott and I were reflecting on the experience -- he commented that your consummate professionalism turned all anxiety about the moment into enjoyment. We also adore Joe who was beyond helpful, and very calming. Working with you two was wonderful. :) Thank you!!! -Jen
This is so beautiful. What type of camera do you use? what lenses? I really enjoy your pictures.
Kristen, I use Canon 5Ds, and a variety of lenses. However, my two favorites are my 24-70 2.8, and my 85 1.2, (loooooove that one.)
Thanks so much for reading the blog!
That Joe is so helpful. I love the throwing the leaves shot.
The leaves look awesome. Good work Joe. :)
