The catalog showcases food for the holidays so I pulled some props ahead of time that fit that look.
A shot of the set. This particular shot went through many incarnations-- this one being the first. It ended up requiring a lot of tweaking and some piecing together of multiple products to make the perfect one for the photo.
I wanted a warm look to the shots and somehow misplaced my gold reflector but my awesome assistant rigged up this super cool make-shift warm-toned reflector! It cast a lovely golden tone on the subject, just as I had hoped it would.

absolutely adore posts like this - inspiring and informative~ makes me want to get out and shoot today - even if the weather is awful... thank goodness I have a place to shoot now that has great light, regardless of weather!

I did a food photography and food styling event w/ Matt Armendariz (Matt Bites) & Adam here in So Cal and I loved loved being in their studio and I love seeing the shots of yours!
