Starr's wedding, part 1

This 4th of July, I was thrilled to be part of the wedding of Starr Samuelson and Steve Rollert on beautiful Bainbridge Island. As many of you may know, Starr is a FANTASTIC wedding photographer in Seattle, so it's no surprise that many of the guests were part of the Seattle wedding industry. Miki, from Miki's Flowers did all the gorgeous floral arrangements, John and Susan from Aria Style provided the sumptuous silk linens and tent lining, Lauren from Schwa Designs designed the lovely and colorful bridal jewelry, Pyramid Catering prepared tasty Spanish-inspired fare, Austin from Nite Lite Entertainment DJ'd the event, while the rockin' Dusty 45s played throughout the evening, as well.

Then there was the photography. Eight, yes EIGHT photographers collaborated in covering this beautiful wedding. Starr asked me to shoot her getting ready photos, her first look with Steve, and their couple's portraits, (photos to be posted in another blog entry soon to come.) The other 7 talented photographers included Sharlane Chase, Loren Callahan, Melanie Blair, Carol Harrold, Dani Weiss, Tor Clausen, and Stephanie Cristalli. Each photographer took one part of the event so that no individual was responsible for documenting the entire thing. But that didn't stop some people from shooting the whole time! Starr and Steve are going to be receiving a LOT o' pictures!! It's going to be so fun to see what everyone shot....we all have such different styles and approaches.

One of the highlights of the evening was the Moroccan style tent that was set up to serve as a photo booth for guests. What happens when a group of photographers get in front of a camera? Total mayhem. Many drinks had been consumed by this part of the evening, in case that isn't obvious from the photos below.
Starr and her sister/maid of honor, Dawn, (another photographer) are also in the shots.
Check em' out!

The photo booth was pretty addictive, to say the least.
Here I am with my very dear friends, Anthony and Jeff.

And here we are with my husband, Joe.

And then with the beautiful bride, Starr!

Stay tuned for some more photos from Starr's wedding...coming soon!
