Holiday portraits

Summer wedding season is still going strong but fall is right around the corner, and that's the time to start thinking about holiday portraits. Every year, sometime in mid-December, I get last minute requests for family photos and by that time it is too late to get things back in time for the holidays. So, my advice to you is to book early!! If you are interested in getting great shots of yourself, your children or your family and you want to be able to use those images for holiday cards or gifts, then schedule your session in the fall. I will be dedicating most of October to portrait work so reserve your spot now! :)

Here are some images from a recent shoot with the beautiful (and brand new), Lucia. What a cutie!!

Jessica and Ryan

Meet Ryan and Jessica; one of my very favorite couples this year. Why? Because in the midst of whatever chaos or confusion they encountered on their wedding day, they handled everything with grace, humor, kindness, and style. It was at this wedding that I realized what a huge influence the bride has on the tone of the wedding day. If she is stressed and upset, the day becomes stressful and tense. If she is relaxed and happy, the day becomes a true celebration, as it should be. Jessica was this second type of bride. In the face of stress, she knew when to let go of control and just go with the flow of the day. The joy she felt was contagious and it was a true honor and pleasure to spend time with her and Ryan. I am so happy for both of them.

The ceremony was held at the Rose Garden at the Zoo, with the reception at Shilshole Bay Beach Club. The fabulous Sean Patrick O'Reilly officiated.
